Installers In Action

Lightning protection system installation specialists are a hardy lot who can shoulder heavy spools of metal cable up steep roof access stairs, scramble up preposterously long ladders, and even dangle from ropes to install conductors on exterior walls.

It is tempting to say that lightning protection system professionals work outdoors in all types of weather, but they don't; they will be on roofs during midsummer's heat and on all but the coldest days of winter. But "When Thunder Roars, They go Indoors."

You will find lightning protection system installation specialists all over a construction site, from installing grounding components in the mud to topping off a steeple or chimney with an air terminal. From bonding equipment in a basement mechanical room, to running conductor cables inside an attic. Since they have to work alongside so many other trades, it helps that lightning protection system contractors are adept at coordinating their work schedules in order to keep a project on track.

They are also committed to their trade and passionate about protecting buildings and occupants. East Coast Lightning Equipment sells its products only to lightning protection professionals that know and comply with the requirements in nationally-recognized lightning protection standards. ECLE's customers are also certified by the Lightning Protection Institute, participate in the Lightning Protection Institute - Inspection Program and are listed with Underwriters Laboratories for lightning protection installation. LPI Certification requires that individuals pass two exams to reach the level of Journeyman Installer; two additional exams to reach Master Installer certification; and one additional exam to become certified as a Master Installer/Designer.
